Hi, I’m Hyung, founder, planner, and guide behind Alaska AJU Tour by Hyung. The business started out in the 1990s, a time where Korean interest in Alaska travel boomed. I started out as a planner for large group tours for Korean travelers based in Los Angeles—sometimes 30 to 40 people at a time. But those trips felt rushed, impersonal, and disconnected from the true spirit of Alaska.
In 1992, I took full ownership of the business and reshaped it from the ground up. Today, I offer year-round tours for small groups of 6 to 10 people, welcoming Korean travelers from anywhere in the world.
Every itinerary is is personalized to you and your preferences. Whether you want to fish, hike, golf, or simply take in the silence of the Arctic air, I’ll help you shape a journey that feels like yours.
This is a grassroots operation—not a franchise, not a corporate tour bus. I handle everything myself, from booking activities and arranging accommodations to being your personal private tour guide.
